Nowhere to Run

from To Find a Little Bluebird by Riot/Clone

/

lyrics

They build out of town centres
Close the shops in your High Street
If you don’t have a car
You’ll struggle to afford to eat
Anything that looks as though
It may threaten their hold
Is bought up with their cheque books
And brought under control

Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
The corporations are marching
Across the countryside

Their trading with the third world
Massively increases debt
As they force down the buying price
Of what they want to get
They feel no guilt
As long as their shareholders have their cake
Leaving widespread tracts of poverty
And famine in their wake

Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
The corporations are marching
Across the countryside

Profit’s all important
To their corporate mindset
No thought for the individuals
Their actions will affect
If they can’t control something
They’ll destroy it if they can
Global domination
Is their ultimate plan

Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
The corporations are marching
Across the countryside
