lyrics

Pollution in the air
That causes danger every day
White buildings rarely are
They’re more a murky sort of grey
Almost a thousand die each month
From heart and lung disease
As the poison gets transported
Around the landscape by the breeze

Nothing ever changes
It’s easy to see why
Profit before people
Is the moneymakers’ cry
Just look at the evidence
You’ll reach the same deduction
Capitalism means destruction!

Food not fit to eat
Through chemicals in pesticides
Which find their way into rivers
And the drinking water supply
Toxic waste's still produced
By the nuclear industry
That only just survives
Through Government subsidy

Nothing ever changes
It’s easy to see why
Profit before people
Is the moneymakers’ cry
Just look at the evidence
You’ll reach the same deduction
Capitalism means destruction!

We’ve only got one world
Don’t let it be destroyed
The earth is here for all of us
To use and to enjoy
They’re taking it away from us
With their greed and corruption
Capitalism means destruction!
