lyrics

Buy me buy me buy me
I don't care if I get grimy
Go on Guvnor, oh cor blimey
Won't you buy me buy me buy me?

Told since young that to stand erect
I would need a job for my self-respect
They know best so it must be true
That’s why I came for the interview
It’s strange hours but I’m fairly strong
Twelve hours a day doesn’t seem too long
One twenty a week I can live all right
DSS said so, they must be right

Buy me buy me buy me
I don't care if I get grimy
Go on Guvnor, oh cor blimey
Won't you buy me buy me buy me?

Only last week I hurt my back
But if I take time off I’ll get the sack
For the moment I’ll struggle through
Well, what else is a man to do?
At least I’m not signing on like some
Sitting all day on their lazy bums
I work for a living and work makes me free
I’ve got a future, can’t you see?

Buy me buy me buy me
I don't care if I get grimy
Go on Guvnor, oh cor blimey
Won't you buy me buy me buy me?
